I go by the nickname ‘Tamm’! I am a boxer on the Canadian national team in the 75kg weight class. I have been in the sport since the age of nine. This blog covers not only my adventures, but the conditioning and training that keeps me fit and ready. Thank you for being a part of the journey!
Besides spending most days in the gym or traveling the world, I am also an ‘Urban studies’ major at Concordia university. I am vegetarian, and I LOVE French fries! I come from a tight knit family of 6 and fun fact, I was the LEAST athletic of the 4 children. Growing up I was very tall and awkwardly unathletic, I preferred laying in the grass, reading, drawing or singing. I had quite the imagination and spent a lot of time in my own world.
At first it was a moment that my father and I shared together, but over the years I found my own passion for it and fell in love with boxing. It has showed me the importance of discipline and perseverance. And because of that, I carry my work ethic from the ring into all spheres of my life. .
No dream is too big nor too small. I believe that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. I hope that someday my story inspires others to believe in their own dreams and that it encourages others to be their most authentic selves.
